We are honored to perform on March 6, 2009 at the venerable Corpse Fortress alongside the esteemed SCREAMING FEMALES, INGRID, and NEW HABITAT. This event will be the last TURBOSLUT performance in the DC area FOREVER, at least in any imaginable incarnation, as drummer/sorceress Jean Trapchak departs to the southwest to be raised by wolves. In lieu of flowers read a book.
Thank you to all those who attended the celebration of our split LP with PYGMY LUSH at the Black Cat last night. We want to give you permission to move around and have a little fun next time. Don’t worry, you looked great.

exciting news, more tapes, more shows
we are recording for a split lp on exotic fever records with our most beloved complementary opposites in noise, pygmy lush.
after running out of the first 200 demo tapes, we ordered more. the second 200 are clear tapes, not purple. sorry. order them by contacting turboslutsavedmylife at gmail dot com. they have also been remastered and the new better sounding songs are yours free to download.
our recent weekend out with pygmy lush was incredible fun (documentation below). thanks to baltimore, cincinnati, ann arbor, and pittsburgh for putting up with us and putting us up.
there are still more good times to be had before we run this summer into the ground: we are playing dna test fest (clicky clicky flyer at left) and a few other local shows. we may escape to richmond in august. goin south in the fall. check out shows for more info.
our tape is done and ready! we made 200 of them. they are on lavender-stamped purple cassettes with lavender-stamped, hand-numbered covers and include a lyrics sheet. above are some pictures of them. the little dried orange rose is not included. you can download all the songs if you click “hear” on the right of this page. for ordering info, please get in touch with us: turboslutsavedmylife at gmail dot com. we will ask you for three dollars and your address and we will send you a tape, or if you live in the dc area you may even be lucky enough to arrange a rendezvous with us or one of our associates.
